There is no doubt Virtual reality has been around a long time and lets be honest, its been pretty poor. This is set to change in 2016 when we are blessed with the Oculus Rift set to land in Q1 2016 along with a whole host of other options.

Graphics card manufacturers like Nvidia have also been upping their game to ensure their graphics cards are compatible and ready for VR and as a result we have been playing around with the needed tech to ensure we are in the know as to what kind of PC you need behind some shiny new VR tech.

Tech Spec

Oculus have already released their minimum system requirements for the rift as an Nvidia GTX 970 4GB which means;

Good Graphics card - Nvidia GTX 970 4GB

Better Graphics card - Nvidia GTX 980 4GB

Best Graphics card - Nvidia GTX 980 Ti 6GB

The rest of the requirements are made up of;

Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater

8GB+ RAM

Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output

2x USB 3.0 ports ; Windows 7 SP1 or newer

It is a strong requirement, but definitely justified, VR is finally going to be as awesome as it should be!
